Solar fountains

Solar fountainsSolar fountains are the best option for almost anyone who wants to add a water feature to his or her home or garden. Many people who never installed fountains in their yards for various reasons – difficult to install, no outside power source, too expensive, etc. – can appreciate the ease of solar fountains. Here are some of the benefits of going solar:

• No outside power source needed – these fountains can be placed just about anywhere in the yard. It does not matter whether or not there is an outlet nearby. This means that you can place one in a far corner of yard without having to hire an electrician and without having to dig trenches for complicated wiring.
• Easy to install – because they require no outside power source, solar fountains are very easy to install. You basically just place them wherever you choose and fill them with water. You need only ensure that the solar panel is in the sun.
• Shady placement – most of these solar water features have solar panels that can be attached directly to the fountain or placed up to 15 or 20 feet away. This means that the fountain can be left in the shade, as long as the panel is in direct sunlight. You can even have a solar fountain indoors.
• Inexpensive – the price of solar products is improving as technology improves. Also, once the fountain has been installed, there are no running costs – you will not have to pay any money to keep the fountain running.
• Battery – keep in mind that not all solar fountains come with a battery back-up. Without a battery, the fountain will only run during the day, when the sun is out. With a battery, energy can be stored and the fountain can run at night.

If you are thinking of installing a water feature in your own backyard, consider making it solar. There are many benefits to doing so.

There are many online stores that sell solar fountains, but if you are interested in building your own, check out this link:
